Required: Growth Marketing Lead

We are looking for an individual to join our team to lead user acquisition.

We are capturing extensive share and we need to lay the groundwork for a growth-centric year in 2022 by building a great team that can help us compete with the insurance giants.


Our conversion rates and unit economics have continuously improved over the years, and we’re aiming to double down in 2022 by accelerating our growth with paid marketing as well as brand awareness initiatives. Challenges for this role will include the launch of new products and development of new markets.

You might be a fit for the role if you’re excited about leading the growth of the Emma business, owning and growing your own budget, and working in close collaboration with a cross-functional team of marketers, engineers, and creatives, as well as directly with the CEO.

In this role, you will:
  • Deploy seven-figure marketing budgets and acquire thousands of sign-ups and clients on our beloved life insurance buying platform;
  • Create, manage, and scale user acquisition campaigns on different channels such as Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Google, influencers, etc;
  • Test tons of new creatives to improve performance across all of our new channels, in collaboration with our creative team;
  • Track and report on campaign performance using LTV and cohort analysis;
  • Uncover growth and optimization opportunities with your own queries and reports;
  • Sort through well-known and unconventional user acquisition channels and set up tests to measure how well they perform and scale. Come up with or discuss new test ideas for existing or new channels and campaigns;
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on tracking and finding new user segments to target;
  • Work hand in hand with our CMO to carve our path as the Canadian leader in online life insurance distribution.

As a Growth Marketing Lead, you will learn:

  • How to scale creative campaigns and influencer campaigns on social media;
  • How to work with design tools like Figma and others;
  • How to work in a data-driven environment;
  • How to work in an agile environment with fast test and learn cycles.
A perfect candidate has:
  • 3-5 years' experience with paid user acquisition at scale on multiple channels including paid social;
  • Strong creative thinking, ability to bring new ideas and think outside of the box;
  • A passion for online marketing;
  • Experience with analytics and tracking tools;
  • The ability to work with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty, ambiguity, and the challenge of quickly evolving goals;
  • The desire to work in a small team and a fast-paced environment.


  • Experience in marketing, e-commerce, user acquisition, or insurance;
  • Knowledge of Amplitude, Figma, and video editing tools;
  • Experience using SQL;
  • Graphic design skills.
