"Emma’s back-to-school" to benefit the Breakfast Club of Canada
Montreal, August 29, 2023
Starting September 1st, with every life insurance quote, Emma will donate 5 breakfasts to children in Quebec.
The goal? Provide 10,000 meals in one month!
While the month of September marks the return to school for the vast majority of Quebec students, it is also synonymous with a more difficult period for the wallets of many local families. To ease the burden on these parents and ensure that even more children benefit from a full breakfast every morning, Emma has chosen to join forces with the Breakfast Club of Canada's great cause.
"La rentrée Emma" is the name of this new initiative, which aims to provide 5 breakfasts for every life insurance quote, throughout the month of September! The ultimate goal: to provide 10,000 back-to-school meals to children in need, through the Breakfast Club's school programs! The same programs that, during the 2021-2022 school year, helped feed over 580,000 Canadian children every day!
An association that goes without saying, according to Félix Deschatelets, CEO and co-founder of Emma, affirming that the values that characterize the two organizations are intimately linked. "Emma is a company I founded with my brother, Jacomo. So family has always been at the heart of everything we do, and that's even truer today, when several members of the team and I are new parents! Having the chance to unite our daily mission with an even greater cause, to give back and make a difference in the lives of local families and children, is a huge motivation for us."
Camille Garneau Gaudreault, Advisor, Partnerships and Fundraising - Quebec for the Breakfast Club, is equally delighted with this new initiative. "At the Breakfast Club, our mission is as strong as the link between nutrition and children's success. For nearly 30 years, our commitment to feeding schoolchildren to cultivate a better future has remained unwavering. In this mission, the Club is honored to be supported by Emma Assurances, which provides protection and security on a daily basis. Together, we're building a world where every well-nourished child and every well-protected ambition can grow and flourish with confidence."
"La rentrée Emma", which begins at midnight on September 1 and runs until September 30, 2023, is the very first association between Emma and the Club des petits déjeuners. Driven by the desire to help local families by making financial protection accessible to as many people as possible, Emma also wants to do its part in the fight against food insecurity among young Quebecers, and hopes to repeat this initiative several times over the course of the year.
