Aliyah

The name Aliyah is a girl's name meaning "heavens, highborn, exalted". Aliyah is a Hebrew word as well as a name, used to mean the migration of Jews to Israel, a basic tenet of Zionist ideology. Much more common is the Aaliyah spelling, used to honor the late singer.
