The regal-sounding Katherine is a timeless name. From monarchs to actresses to pop singers, there’s never a shortage of Katherine’s in the world. It’s meaning of “pure” is especially appropriate given that there were several saints named Katherine or Catherine, most notably St. Catherine of Alexandria who apprently was tortured on a spiked wheel (shhh, you don’t have to tell them that part.)
