While most people would assume Lauren was a female name, it’s also been a male name since the early 1900s. It faded into oblivion in the 80s, which makes sense given how popular it was as a girls name then. An almost identical-sounding, but more masculine spelling to the name would be Loren, or Lawrence (from which the name is actually derived.)
